When it comes to buying rugby balls there are a few different rugby ball sizes to choose from. Knowing which rugby ball size you need isn’t always straightforward, particularly when you’re looking for kids as the recommended ball sizes change as children get older.
To remove any doubt about what ball size you need, we’ve created this rugby ball size chart that clearly shows what size rugby ball each age group should use.
Choosing the right kids rugby ball size is important to ensure that fundamental skills and techniques can be developed by children. Using a ball that is too big will be particularly troublesome and can make ball handling and passing difficult. It’s also important that the balls used recreationally and in training are the same as in matches to ensure maximum performance.
