BRAZIL WOMEN'S NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
SUPPLYING BRAZIL AT WEMBLEY
In 2022, Net World Sports had the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Brazil National Women's Football Team, providing them with our innovative FORZA goalkeeper training equipment. This collaboration began when the Brazilian goalkeeping coach reached out to us, seeking to enhance their training sessions with new tools while the team was in the UK preparing for their highly anticipated Finalissima match at Wembley Stadium.
The Brazil National Women's Team is one of the most respected teams in international women's football, known for its techincal skill, flair, and a rich history of success on the world stage. Regularly ranked among the top teams globally by FIFA, Brazil has produced some of the most iconic players in the sport, including Marta, one of the all-time greats in women's football. The team's commitment to excellence has made them a formidable opponent in major tournaments, including the FIFA Women's World Cup and the Olympic Games.
The Finalissima, held at the historic Wembley Stadium in London, was a significant event that brought together the champions of Europe and South America. In this match, Brazil faced England, the reigning UEFA Women's EURO 2022 champions, in a highly competitive fixture that celebrated the best of women's football. Wembley, with its capacity to hold over 80,000 spectators, provided a world-class stage for this showdown, making it a fitting venue for such an iconic clash between two powerhouses of the sport.
Ahead of the Finalissima, Brazil's goalkeeping coach approached Net World Sports, seeking to incorporate new training tools that would bring variety and challenge to their goalkeeper drills. Recognising the importance of preparation for such a high-stakes match, we provided the team with a range of specialised FORZA goalkeeper training equipment, designed to puush the limits of their performance.
The equipment supplied included our FORZA tackle bags, which are perfect for simulating physical challenges during training, and deflector ramps, which create unpredictable ball bounces to sharpen reaction times and agility. This equipment allowed the goalkeepers to work on their reflexes, positioning, and decision-making under pressure, key skills needed to perform at the highest level.
Although the Finalissima match ended in a narrow defeat for Brazil, with England winning 4-2 in a tense penalty shootout to claim the trophy at Wembley, it was a valuable experience to collaborate with the coach and gain insight into their goalkeeping needs.
